Seven Days of Deals
I knew March was a great month for birthdays.

Tuesday, March 2: Rittenhouse's Meritage serves a $30 prix-fixe dinner for two - that means two people can eat for $30, plus tax and tip - on Tuesday nights. The dinner includes a whole brined and roasted chicken with parsnip puree, sautéed brussel sprouts and Chinese sausage with a chicken jus. A select red or white bottle of wine will also be offered for $20. Reservations are requested, since only a limited number of the dinners will be available each Tuesday.

Wednesday, March 3: Fork's Wednesday night chef's tasting "bistro dinner" gives diners the opportunity to try four courses of whatever is on chef Terence Feury's mind that week for $40, including wine pairings. This week's menu includes smoked beef tongue with gribiche, cornichons, baby arugula; poached wild striped bass stuffed with herbed fish mousse, braised endive; zampone with lentil ragout and a dessert course. Reservations recommended.

Thursday, March 4: Sample one of Reading Terminal Market's $7 lunch meal deals. See participating merchants and their offerings here.

Friday, March 5: To kick off Sampan's new lunch service, chef Michael Schulson will give away a free pork banh mi, chips and a non-alcoholic beverage FREE to all guests on Friday, March 5 from 11:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. (Someone has a birthday today!)

Saturday, March 6: There's a late night "oyster happy hour" at Sansom Street's Oyster House on Saturday nights from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.. Get a buck-a-shuck oyster-of-the-day, $3 drafts and $3 oyster shooters.

Sunday, March 7: Bella Vista's James will offer a $60 four-course "Pig and Its Parts" menu on Sunday, featuring trotters, house-made sausage and bacon brittle. Reservations recommended.

Monday: Every Monday it's a prix-fixe menu only at Rittenhouse's Meme. Four courses for $38 with options in each course.
