Wawa's Milestone, 1 billion free ATM transactions! Yay!


Wawa this month is celebrating a feature that they consider to be one of the cornerstones of its business -Surcharge-free use of its ATM machines. Wawa says the billionth surcharge-free transaction will take place some time in April. The company is marking the milestone with a parade Wednesday from Love Park in Philadelphia to the Wawa at 17th and Arch streets. (Where only the BEST Iced Coffee is made- that is ALL THREE FLAVORS)

“We consider ATMs a key driver, much like coffee and gasoline,” Wawa spokeswoman Lori A. Bruce said in an e-mail.
“On the anecdotal side, I can't begin to tell you how many customers go out of their way to comment positively about the fact that we have surcharge-free ATMs. Many times, it's the first thing they mention when you meet them for the first time.”
